Founder’s letter
SDG was not born from a business plan. It was born from a conviction.
Before choosing companies, allocating capital or launching products, I had to answer who I am and whom I serve. The answers fit into four mottos I have carried for years and that now guide the holding.
FIAT LUX
Let there be light.
In the beginning, light came before all things (Genesis 1:3). We want our work to reflect that light: business done in the open, that illuminates rather than hides. This is where SDG began.
TEMET NOSCE
Know thyself.
Knowing deeply who we are, with our strengths and our limits, is the starting point for growth and for respecting who each person is. It is the root of our value Essence.
SOLI DEO GLORIA
Glory to God only.
God before all things, and all things for Him. It gave the holding its name and reminds us that no result is ours to flaunt.
TIMOR DOMINI SANCTUS
The fear of the Lord is clean (Psalm 19:9).
It is the boundary of our conduct. We fear God, and therefore we fear nothing else: not haste, not comparison, not market pressure. “Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name” (Psalm 86:11).
These mottos are not slogans. They are the standard by which we want to be measured, today and for generations to come.
